BC SAKHI REACHES THE UNREACHED IN AJMER
India has witnessed a high rate of economic growth, which has resulted in greater personal wealth for many Indians. However, a vast section of the society is still financially excluded, meaning it does not have access to formal financial institutions. CSC SPV has made outstanding efforts to achieve financial inclusion by using information and communication technology.
SHG member Seema Sharma from Ajmer has been appointed as BC Sakhi by CSC-SPV. The nearest bank branch from her village is 27Km. In this area, BC Sakhi is helping to increase the outreach of financial services to the poorest of the poor by using technology-based solutions. She is helping in transactions for women from marginalized communities through the use of DigiPay tools. She earned Rs. 7000 in first month itself which gradually increased to Rs. 9000 in third month.
